Adult Basic Education (ABE)

Our small group classes, which began in 2003, continue to grow. We now offer 15 classes a week. For adults who want to learn in a small group, ABE classes help with:

  • Sounding out words--phonics and vocabulary building

  • Reading with understanding

  • Spelling and writing

  • Life skills reading--bus maps, pill bottles, bills, etc.

  • Consumer math

  • Basic computer skills
