Our History

Founded in 1988, Literacy Volunteers and Advocates is one of Washington's DC's oldest and most established Adult Basic Education programs. We provide the highest quality of services to adults at the lowest levels of literacy. LVA empowers adults and families by providing literacy instruction and skills based education, thereby enriching all aspects of their personal and professional lives.
