
Rita Daniels
LVA Executive Director
Rita started her 30-year
career in adult education at the University of the
District of Columbia (UDC). She has managed programs
and conducted training, as well as taught on the graduate
and undergraduate levels. Rita has demonstrated experience
in delivering instruction through tutoring, adult
basic education and family literacy instruction, online
training, GED preparation, and English as a Second
language to diverse adult and youth populations. She
has managed adult and family literacy programs throughout
Washington, D.C.
Rita received her Master
of Arts in Adult Education from the University of
the District of Columbia. She received her Bachelors
of Science in Commerce from North Carolina Central
University.
Rita is certified by
Bridges to practice as a trainer in Learning Disabilities
in Adults. She has planned and facilitated workshops
on Learning Disabilities and Adults, employability
skills, and staff and instructor development. She
also is experienced in program development. She has
planned conferences, facilitated workshops, and served
on numerous advisory boards.
