Literacy Volunteers and Advocates (LVA) is dedicated to ending the cycle of illiteracy in families by supporting and helping our learners take charge of their education and their lives.

Literacy Volunteers and Advocates (LVA) is dedicated to addressing the core, often hidden problems of adult illiteracy at both an individual and community level by tailoring its program to meet the needs of thousands of adults in the District of Columbia who read at the lowest literacy levels and have learning disabilities. LVA advocates and educates at the local, state, and national levels for literacy programs and resources.
